TECH Stain Remover® - FAQ

Q. After using other stain removers on carpet stains, the stains seems to reappear. Why does this happen?
A. Most other carpet stain removal products simply "push" the stain into the carpet pad below. As the carpet dries the stain is drawn back into the carpet. TECH Stain Remover® is designed to go into the carpet and "lift" the stain up to the surface to be blotted away. Because TECH Stain Remover® lifts the stain from the carpet stains will not reappear.

Q. What is the Carpet and Rug Institute? Does the Seal of Approval mean anything to me?
A. The Carpet and Rug Institute is an independent lab that tests stain removal products on the toughest stains on carpet. Products that remove the stains and do so without "optical brighteners" or "bleaching action" (such as most "Oxy" labeled products) earn the Seal of Approval. TECH Stain Remover® has earned the Seal of Approval as a "superior product for removing most carpet stains."
Products that carry this seal (TECH Stain Remover® and Final Answer Carpet Cleaner®)will most likely NOT void your carpet manufacturer's warranty.

Q. I have children and pets in my house. Can I use TECH Stain Remover® safely?
A. Yes. Based upon independent laboratory tests, TECH Stain Remover® is considered to be completely safe: non-toxic, not a skin irritant or an eye irritant and no deadly fumes. Therefore it is completely safe to use throughout the home, even around children and pets.

Q. When I use other cleaners, the "cleaned" area seems to get dirty faster. Will TECH Stain Remover® do this too?
A. No. Many oil or enzyme based products leave a residue. Residual adherence is a basic property of the product's ingredients. TECH Stain Remover® is a water-based product and leaves no residue.

Q. Can I use TECH Stain Remover® as a laundry pre-wash?
A. Yes. TECH Stain Remover® is safe to use on any washable fabric and will clean circles around any other laundry pre-washes on the market today, including the big "name" brands.

Q. What's the difference between TECH Stain Remover® and FINAL ANSWER® Carpet Cleaner?
A. TECH Stain Remover® is an all-purpose stain remover that can be used on any washable fabric including: clothing, carpet, upholstery, and vinyl. FINAL ANSWER® Carpet Cleaner is designed specifically for the carpet fiber. Both products are approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute.

Q. I cleaned a spot in my carpeting and the stain is completely gone, but when I came back into the room my cat was licking the carpet. Will my cat get sick?
A. Your cat was probably attracted to the moisture. TECH Stain Remover® was probably not left in the fibers after you blotted the stain; however, TECH Stain Remover® is completely safe to use around both humans and pets.

Jeweler's Secret® - FAQ

Q. Where can I use Jeweler's Secret®?
A. Jeweler's Secret® can be used on silver, gold, platinum, and even costume jewelery. The unique foaming action removes "sticky" residues (liquid hand soap, skin oils, and hand lotion).
Jeweler's Secret® is recommended for use on rings, necklaces, bracelets, and watchbands.

Q. Can I use Jeweler's Secret® on opals and pearls?
A. We suggest taking your opals or pearls to a jeweler to be cleaned. While Jeweler's Secret® is safe to use, these stones are very soft and require special care.

Q. Does Jeweler's Secret® contain any harsh chemicals like ammonia or abrasives?
A. Jeweler's Secret® is unique in that it contains no harsh chemicals, such as ammonia. Most jewelry dips use harsh chemicals such as ammonia to "clean" your jewelry. After the dip solution is used once you are "cleaning" your jewelry in dirty solution. Jewelry cleaner has been shown to be one of the most dangerous cleaning chemical to keep around children and pets because of the harshness of the chemicals.
Jeweler's Secret® is totally safe to use around children and pets and does not contain any abrasives like those found in toothpaste. These abrasives can scratch jewelry.
